Education is a basic human right. Zirabo Cantonment Public School and College (current name: Sena Public School and College, Savar) was established as the second Cantonment Public School and College in Savar Cantonment in view of the huge demand for good educational institutions in the Savar-Ashulia region and to ease the enrollment pressure of students. It was located inside the Savar Cantonment, adjacent to the center of Flag Staff House, Station Headquarters Savar, 61 Mechanized Brigade, and 147 Field Workshop. Formerly Savar CMH and later Morning Glory School and College were established at that place. The institution was established in 2010 after the Morning Geary School and College relocated to its own campus.
The disciplined efforts and direction of the then General Officer Commanding and Area Commander Savar Area (former Chief of Army Staff) of the 9th Infantry Division, General Iqbal Karim, PSC, started from 01 January 2010. In the academic year 2010, educational activities started from nursery to eighth grade. The institution is currently recognized by the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Dhaka with the approval of the Department of Science, Humanities and Business Education up to 12th class. The activities of launching higher secondary (college branch) level are continuing. Its school code is 1562. The day branch was started by opening the second class from the nursery in the 2012 academic year and at present, this trend is continuing. The institution was registered as MPO in 2019 by the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Ministry of Education, Department of Secondary and Higher Education through the letter 37.064.0000.00.002.002.2019.264. The institution is currently in its own/permanent campus to a newly constructed building in the DOHS area of ​​Savar. Recently the name of the institution has been changed to Zirabo Cantonment Public School and College by the appropriate authority and renamed as Sena Public School and College, Savar.
It is now an ideal educational institution with a well-organized cantonment system and institutional discipline, maximum preparation for the final examination through class teaching and examination, good student-teacher-parent relationship, co-curricular activities etc. At present, the total number of students in the institution is 1940, with 62 teachers and 66 employees. In all the public examinations held since the establishment of the institute till date, the pass rate is 100% with a significant number of A + and scholarships. In the competition organized in National Education Week 2018 and 2019, it got the honor of being selected as the best educational institution at the district level and Dhaka region. Apart from academic results, the institute has been able to achieve glory in co-curricular subjects at military and civilian level, upazila, district, divisional and national level.
