Education is the basic human right. To serve this purpose, different educational institutions of Savar Cantonment have been keeping pivoting role in Savar-Ashulia area. In view of the huge demand for good educational institutions in the Savar-Ashulia region, Zirabo cantonment Public School and College (currently Sena Public School and College) was established as the second Cantonment Public School and College in this garrison to ease the enrollment pressure of students. SPSC is a newly established institution in Savar Cantonment that launched its academic functions since 2010. The institution has been shifted to its current location in the DOHS area of Savar Cantonment in the name Sena Public School and College. Guided by the disciplined rules and policies of the armed forces, the institution has now become the country's premier educational institution. In its 13-years journey, its far-reaching vision has garnered appreciation in academic and co-curricular achievements, both in the military and non-military domains. The institution is currently recognized by the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Dhaka with the approval up to 12th class. Its school code is 1562 & college code 1960. The institution was registered as MPO in 2019 by the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Ministry of Education, Department of Secondary and Higher Education. The institution is currently in its permanent campus to a newly constructed building in the DOHS area of Savar Cantt. Chief of Army staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed, SBP (BAR), OSP, ndu, psc, PhD formally inaugurated the building on 12 May 2022.

It is now an ideal educational institution with well-organized cantonment system and institutional discipline, maximum preparation for the final examination through class teaching and examination, good student-teacher-parent relationship, co-curricular activities etc. At present, the total number of students in the institution is 2514, with 84 teachers (14 in college) and 68 employees in school section. In all the public examinations held the passing rate is 100% with a significant number of A+ and scholarships.

Within a very short span of time, the institution has been acknowledged for its outstanding academic results and a good number of appreciable achievements in the field of co-curricular activities. In this continuity, Sena Public School and College achieved the prestigious accolade of being the Country's Best Institution (Secondary) in National Education Week 2023. In this biggest education carnival, this institution has surpassed 26000 institutions including government, semi-government, autonomous and private institutions and secured the crown of the first position.
